New Tools that spark your creative imagination. The Finale 2002 Composer's Assistant offers incredible artistic power never available from any notation software program until now. 

	Want to morph one melody into another? Easy!
	Want to find the smoothest progression between two chords? Voilà!
	Want to use a melody to create a rhythmic tapestry? Simple!

This incredibly liberating tool was created with IRCAM, Pierre Boulez’ Computer Music Compositional Laboratory. All ten Composer’s Assistant Plug-ins rapidly generate musical possibilities, providing a huge set of creative ideas. For example:

Rhythm Generator
Instantly creates up to six staves of percussion. For example we can type in some numbers (in this case, the title to the 80's tune 867-5309):

Melodic Morphing
Create a melodic transition from one melody to another. Here’s a morph from Bach’s Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring to Neal Hefti’s Batman Theme!

Chord Morphing
Generate a variety of smooth between-chord transitions from which the user could pick and choose. 

The Virtual Fundamental Plug-in 
Create a new staff displaying one bass note—the virtual fundamental—below each chord of the selection. Adding this bass note to the chord can make it sound better, less tense and more homogeneous. 

Chord Reordering 
Find new placement options for your chords you might not have thought of. Choose from Best solution, Random solution or Best solution starting with a specific chord in the series.
